Unfortunately, there's no really easy way to identify the source of the problem. I ate pizza on Sunday with cheese on it...so it could be the dairy thing. But also, we switched from one type of formula to another a few days ago - from Enfamil "regular" to Enfamil "Premium". She's taken the premium version before - we got a few cans free from the Enfamil folks - so it didn't occur to me this might be an issue. But after seeing how she's cried over the last few days, it occurred to me that the best time we've had with her was the past couple of weeks...when she was taking the "regular" Enfamil. Whatever. Very confusing. You would think Premium would be better. Perhaps Baby Rae just isn't a Premium baby. Perhaps she's a bourgeois baby.
So David and I have set up a data collection system and a plan to figure out exactly what's going on. We're going to do a scatter plot, which looks sort of like this:

We'll chart when she's fussy/colicky and also when she eats to see if there's a correlation.
Also, I went out today and bought a can of the bourgeois Enfamil ($22.21). We're going to give this to her tomorrow, and for the next 2 weeks (as a supplement to breast milk). Then we're going to switch to the Premium Enfamil for 2 weeks, continuing data collection. I'll share our findings, of course.
I just want her to be a happy baby again. Playing with science is a nice distraction in the meantime.
