We bought a package of CVS brand diapers to see if they irritate Baby Rae's butt the way Huggies do. I figured if they work out, I'd stock up on them right now - CVS is having a big sale on their store-brand merchandise, and they would have been about half the price of the Walmart diapers. Also looking for a way to avoid being tied to Walmart for the next 2 years.
Well, all signs point to the CVS diapers also irritating her. We put them on her yesterday and saw an increase in redness by nighttime. Then we replaced them with the trusty Walmart diapers overnight, and her butt faded to a nice light pink again. Now we've got the CVS diapers on her again to see if the booty re-reddens. Aren't we mean parents? All in the name of science. Anyway, it looks like it's getting red again. Oh well...Another 40 diapers to add to the donation pile.
So adding to the total: $9.06 for the CVS diapers.
It appears that the problem may be Baby Rae`s butt, and not the diapers.
